Get Start Tots (ages 4-7)
Children are introduced to the basic eye-hand skills necessary to learn tennis. Fun activities are paired with skillful games while using low compression balls.
Future Stars I, II, III (ages 8 – 10)
This NEW program will emphasize fun! Will be a positive learning experience in an energetic environment. Essential skills are targeted to develop the basics with a sense of accomplishment.
Beginner/Adv Beginner (ages 11 +)
Players learn the fundamentals of tennis and start refining the basic shots-forehand, backhand, serve and volley. The focus is on fun, good sportsmanship, all with a positive attitude.
Junior Intermediate (ages 11 +)
Players build on their tennis skills and become more familiar with match play format and scoring. Challenging games create a competitive yet supportive environment.
Junior Advanced I (ages 12-14)
Players understand the physical and mental components of the game. With their muscle memory well developed, they learn to be focused on training for tournaments and teams.
Junior Advanced II (ages 14-16)
This program builds on the skills and strategies introduced in the former programs. The emphasis is on improving mechanics, footwork and movement about the entire court. Players train for tournaments.
Players at this level are showing tremendous promise and are looking to evolve into better competitors in tournaments and match play. The goal is to progress in their game, school team, and USTA ranking. Creative toughness for match play is covered.
Junior Team Tennis
RVCC proudly participates in USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT), fielding three teams; 12 & under, 14 & under, and 18 & under. Players must be actively participating in our Junior Development Program to play on a team.
